Here are some of the movies I saw this summer (yeah, we go to a lot of movies)....

Raiders of the Lost Ark - Great movie! Harrison Ford still looks great and it was action packed. Sure some of the special effects were unrealistic, but they were done well. Everyone from my daughter (who is 14) to my dad (who is 69) really enjoyed it. I recommend it.

The Mummy - I really enjoyed it. I have seen all the Mummy movies and have enjoyed them all. This one had more action and special effects then the other ones, I thought. I had a hard time picturing Brandon Fraicer's character old enough to be the father of a young adult in college. He still seems young to me. lol My daughter and I both enjoyed it.

Mama Mia - What a fun movie. I am a big fan of Abba, so the music was enjoyable and I couldn't help but sing-a-long. Sure it embarrassed my daugther, but what the hell. hehe Overall the movie was just fun. Yes, it is a musical so it is corney, but in a fun way. Pierce Brunson should not quit his day job, because personally I did not care for his singing at all. lol Overall it was a fun and enjoyable movie. Definitely a fun chick flick.

Love Guru - One word describes this move.....HORRIBLE! It was rated PG13 yet it was chuck full of sexual innuendos. To the point I was ready to walk out. I am no prude and I love Michale Myers, but I was very disappointed in this movie. I took my daughter who is 14 and I am so sorry I did. The worse Mike Myers movie ever (yes, even worse then "So I Married an Axe Murderer!"). Do not waste your money, not even when it hits Block Buster.

Kung Fu Panda - I love Pixar movies! I was torn about seeing this one because it did not get great reviews. Well, my daughter and I decided to go ahead and see it. We both loved it. It was fun, humerous, and entertaining. Will it win an Oscar? No, but it is a movie that the whole family will enjoy.

I'm waiting for Mama Mia to come out on DVD.. (can't smoke in the cinema anymore - lol)

I saw the stage version in Vegas last year which was really good. I'm sure the movie is equally as good, well thats what I'm hoping and by the sounds of your review it is :)

My husband and I saw MIRRORS 2 weeks ago. It was an excellent movie!! Yes, it scared the sh!t out of me at times. I had goosebumps the entire movie. I recommend for everyone to see it if you even minutely like to be frightened.

Well, I have mixed feelings about Mirrors. I thought the concept behind the plot was good. The acting was great. I felt the extent of gore was a bit much. I'm not one that likes bloody gory movies. I like suspenseful movies. There were just a couple scenese that really made my stomach turn (of course one was right off the bat....lol). I think they could have done in a different way and still got their point accross.

If i had to rate it, I would give it a B.

I would certainly worn anyone before seeing it about the couple gory scenes.

I saw Mama Mia (movie) while i was away on holidays this summer......it was fun........and of course you can't help singing along to the songs......

I preferred the musical on stage when i saw it a few years ago.....it was fantastic........but if you just want a few fun hours to kill .......the movie is good. I love PB whether he can sing or not.......lol he can park his boots under my bed anytime.... :D :D

I think they all did a good job considering they aren't singers by trade.

my 2 cents worth :geek:
